Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 May 2026

By using Final, you agree to these Terms of Use. Final is a service designed for sending a single, intentional message to a recipient, with the explicit promise that no further messages will follow. Please read carefully.

What Final is

Final allows you to send exactly one message to a given recipient through their email address. After delivery, you cannot send another message to that recipient through this service. The recipient cannot reply through this service.

Messages are limited to 280 characters. Final does not send replies, attachments, images, or chains of messages. It is not a messaging app. It is one delivery, in one direction.

What you agree not to do

You agree that you will not use Final to:

Violation of these rules results in immediate and permanent suspension of your device from the service.

Recipient rights

Anyone who receives a message through Final can report it using the "Report this message" link on the message page. Reports result in permanent suspension of the sender's device from the service. Reports may also be reviewed by us for further action including, in serious cases, cooperation with law enforcement.

The "one per person" rule

The core promise of Final is that you get exactly one message to a given recipient. This is enforced by associating your device with the recipient email. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does not reset the counter for messages already sent. We reserve the right to enforce this rule technically and procedurally.

No guarantees

Final is provided "as is". We make no guarantees that the service will be available without interruption, that emails will always be delivered to the recipient's inbox (some recipients use spam filters that reject mail), or that the service will exist indefinitely.

If a message fails to deliver due to a recipient's spam filter, an invalid address, or any other reason outside our control, the "one per person" record still stands. You will not be able to retry to that address.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Final and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to emotional consequences, missed delivery, or actions taken by recipients based on the content of your message.

You alone are responsible for what you write and to whom you send it.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service for any user who violates these Terms, or at our sole discretion. We may also discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
